Title: My Wish

Process: Worked on in reverse layers. First: the portrait which is soft, blended, intimate. Then: chaos. Attached broken toys, springs, spinners, coins, plastics, elevating the canvas into dimensional storytelling.
This piece is tactile. It demands to be seen up close. It is memory, a mother's wish, a blessing, and blueprint in one frame.
The inspiration
This piece was created by a mother for her daughters with their old and broken toys. The background holds a soft, intimate portrait of the two of them looking at each other with quiet affection.
In the foreground, their future is built from their past- their old broken toys, their forgotten plastic pieces, their discarded childhood fragments. And this was turned into prophecy.
The Story
The Beginning
In the lower left corner, a tiny baby marks the start of life.
From there, slides rise and dip 3D, protruding, playful. On them, little ducklings become vehicles of transition.
Mid-slide, a girl emerges. Childhood becomes selfhood.
At the end of the slide waits a scooter. The girls move forward on their own.
The Mind Awakens
The scooter halts at the mind bursting with motion.
Rotating toy parts show ideas in formation. Curiosity in motion.
From that mind emerges a purple surfboard and then a vibrant spring representing whirlwinds- the unpredictable compressions and expansions of life.
But I wish them to see their storms through colour. Not as collapse, but as movement.
Strength Through Struggle
Where the spiral ends, a tiger rises. Born from turbulence.
The message is simple: you do not avoid difficulty. You become powerful because of it.
Around the tiger lie coins from old toy sets: money, attraction, temptation. Wealth will exist. Distraction will exist. But strength must remain central.
Broken Bridges
There is a fractured bridge, deliberately repaired using ice cream sticks. Life will break structures. You must learn to rebuild with whatever is in your hands. Pure resilience.
Leaving Home
At the end of their path sits a small house. Around it are doll heads of an actor, scientist, creator, dreamer. They will choose their identities. They will leave.
A car transforms into a plane. The plane becomes a wand. Near it is a crown and stars.
Fly. Create magic. Claim your space in the universe.
But know this. You can always come home.
The Heart at the Centre
Right in the middle of the canvas sits a heart.
On their lips are whistles.
This is my core instruction: Let your heart govern your ambition. Stay joyful. Achievement without happiness is hollow.
The Fish
Fish appear throughout the entire journey, from birth to flight. Fish mouths open, fish mouths closed.
They represent constant hunger, not for validation, but for knowledge. Never assume you know enough. Stay curious. Stay teachable. Stay expanding.
